Girls Weekend Order Out!
I think these are SO cute! I got an order from the sweetest lady who wanted to order big beach bags and bag tags for her 7 friends and herself. They were all AXO’s in the 80’s and still are close! I told her I was an AXO and we also have a group of 8 that is still close…such a small world! So for the bags we put each girl’s initial in a circle on the front and “Girls at the Lake” on the back. I did a coordinating bag tag as well. They will be at the lake in NC this weekend….and I hope they enjoy the bags! Thanks for the order Kerri!
Too many ideas..not enough time!
Hey everyone! I have been SO busy lately its unbelievable. I am loving it of course; I just wish I could get all caught up….it doesn’t seem to ever happen. As always I have a ton of great new products that are just waiting to be added to the website…as soon as I finish the orders on my plate. I installed a counter to both my website and my blog (Well, John the web genious did) and I have been thrilled at all the hits! I wasn’t sure if I was talking to myself so it was nice to see that other people come here!
I have recently applied to have a booth at the Lubbock Holiday Happening show as well as the Christmas in Cowtown show in Fort Worth! I am so excited about those. If you know of any other great shows between the Dallas and Lubbock area please let me know! I am so excited to actually be there when people see my products so I can see reactions and hear about what customers would like to see more of.
If you ever have lines with great products I should look into let me know! I am also always open to ideas of new products I can design or make to fit your needs. I have A LOT of orders to get out in the next three weeks…that total up to 89 items. That is not a joke. 89 items currently ordered that I have to actually embroider or do something to, so that doesn’t even include wall letters or bags I don’t embroider! AUGH! Just typing that stresses me out. (:
As soon as I finish all of the above I will be sending out a great pre-summer newsletter with some summer specials. In July I will send out a “Christmas in July” newsletter with specials on all Christmas Stockings, Tree Skirts, Cards, Stamps, Stickers and more! Mother’s Day!

18 Hour Workdays…hmmm…I don’t like that.(:
It is 1:40am. I have been awake and working for 18 hours, only stopping to drive. James had to bring me a lean pocket to eat in my workroom at 9:15 because I never stopped to eat. Lol. I am TIRED. I finished the AXO UT stuff and all the 10 towel wraps for the cheerleaders inFlorida! Yeah! Guess I better get to bed since I will be up in 5 hours and have another LONG day and night tomorrow! Just had to vent…thank you.(:
WOW!
Well, other than posting the giveaway winner tomorrow I may not be posting for awhile! The iheartfaces.com giveaway was so cool and ends tomorrow evening, so far there are 132 entries and I have loved reading all of their comments! I have already gotten 17 orders this month and its only the 14th! That is more orders than I have had in a month since starting The Polkadot Alley! This is very exciting…BUT…A LOT of work! I currently have a lot to do: 3 sets of invitations and favors, 48 fleece blankets, 39 towel wraps, 23 checkbook covers,and 10 other assorted things like shirts, memory boards, koozie’s and bags. In other words….I am locking myself in my workroom as soon as I click “publish” on this post! I am so excited about this and hope it continues, please keep passing my site along! - I love your products. Im not a teacher but have a 2 year old, 13 yr old and 17 year old so I feel like Im teaching someone all the time. whether it's about girls about driving or the alphabet ( wow what a range) I feel like my mind is always going. :)
Help Needed!(:
Okay, I haven’t written much on here in awhile other than about new products. SO, here I am!(: I am so new and clueless to this whole blog world. I really want to get my blog and my site out there, but I am not sure how to go about it. I have seen so many blogs with all these other links to other blogs…I need to be one of those links on all the blogs!! If any of you have blogs or know people with them I would LOVE for you to pass my link along. At this point business is going well, but its mainly been friends of friends and family. Lately business has really grown from google, sorority girls, facebook and word of mouth. I am not really advertising yet but plan to start eventually. I have really gone back and forth on teaching for another year or trying this as more of a full time thing. I work on orders or my website/business side daily, so that and teaching both makes for really long days. I am nowhere near to the point of doing my business full time yet, but I am hoping that isn’t far off. In other words, please feel free to pass my blog and store sites along.(: I am always up for adding great new products so if you find stuff I should carry..please let me know! Also, I have seen some blogs with “giveaways”. I am interested in doing this but don’t even know if enough people read this to care!
