I am so sorry that it has been so long since I have posted! Between the back to school orders, getting engaged (yeah!), Holiday Happening and the holidays its been a bit crazy at The Polkadot Alley! Okay so it has been so long since I have posted! Between my birthday and the 4th of July, the craft show and trips to Dallas and Florida its been crazy! I have all sorts of news and new items so I am going to keep this short until I am ready to add it all! I have TONS of new items and lines and can’t wait to add it all. My favorite invitation/stationery line that I carry has just started a new digital studio! This will be great for Christmas cards! You can order and send me your picture and it will be actually printed on all of the cards, they look awesome! You can even order matching gift tags and stickers pre-printed with your names on it! Those will be on my newsletter I will send out shortly, full of Christmas in July specials!
The next bit of big news is that I am starting a wholesale line with all of my own items in my brand! Now other retailers will be able to carry my products, just under a different name! So if you know any retailers with shops that would fit in line with my products, make sure to send them my way! I will be adding all of the new products soon but just to give you some ideas…..we have tons of new styles in burps and bibs, teacher gifts, sterling silver personalized gifts, personalized wooden gifts, holiday stuff, changing mats, precious dresses, and so much more! Its been so long since I have posted! I have been SO enjoying summer but have been super busy. I love having all day to work on orders and work on my own time…love it. I am trying to finish the orders I have out right now because I am leaving Friday to go to Keller. I will be in a craft/gift show at Keller Central High School on Saturday 6/20 from 9-5. If you live in the area come by! Its put on by the drill team and there are a ton of vendors signed up. Hoping for a great turnout! I am just ready to get all the current orders out and samples finished. After the show its off to Florida for my birthday and vacation! I just finished a PRECIOUS kids T-Shirt dress and have tons of ideas swirling in my head for others. I will be posting pics of them once I get a few more finished this week. Time for bed…I will be back soon!(:
I am very excited to say that today was officially my first day as a full-time self-employed woman! Yes, the school year has ended and summer has begun…but the difference this time is that I won’t be going back in August! I am going to spend my time on orders and promoting…with a few days of subbing thrown in so I don’t go crazy being alone all day! I am SO excited. Today I was able to do the dishes, make the bed, clean house, go to Hobby Lobby, and get 4 orders shipped….and that was all before lunch! I had gotten so used to starting this job at 5pm…it will be such a nice change to be normal at night!
Another exciting tidbit is that The Polkadot Alley got accepted into the Lubbock Junior League Holiday Happening 2009 show! I even got a booth on the first row by the main entrance! I am very excited but now I am already stressing thinking about what I want to have in the booth. Do I want to focus on monogrammed items? Kids clothes? Gifts like totes, candles and towel wraps? Holiday stuff like stockings and tree skirts and cards???? I carry so many things that I can’t even fathom squeezing it all into one 10×10 booth! We will see I suppose. Speaking of…hopefully now I will have time to finish adding all of the cute new items I have waiting for their website debut!
Well, tomorrow morning begins the new actually going to the gym plan….so I better sign off. After that I will be in T-Shirt Quilt land for the rest of the week. This one is for a college football coach and will be pretty cool, I will post pictures of it once its complete. Goodnite all…and please let me know what you think I should sell at Holiday Happening!

I am trying to compile a list of all of the craft/gift shows between Lubbock and the Dallas area. I want to see which ones are good and I am going to start trying to be a vendor at some of them….from what I hear from other people who do what I do the shows are where its at! (: If any of you know of any good craft/gift shows please let me know. I am looking for school shows, church shows, any shows that you think are good or that you have heard of. Ideally I will stick to the Lubbock area and the Dallas/FW area. Thanks readers!!(:
Just some of the recent orders heading out….Memory Boards& Towel Wraps. I just love this bridal party set. She made the MOH’s wrap polkadotted and the rest Chocolate and I think they just came out precious!
I am aware that this isn’t Polkadot Alley related but I am so in love I just had to share! I am in love with my guest room!(: We had the Chocolate and Ice Blue bedding going in both rooms and I was over it. I decided to get a White quilt and some great spring/summer pillows! Now anytime I get bored I can just switch out the pillows instead of getting all new bedding. I still need to get a new lampshade and make a few more changes but I am just loving the look of the bedding!
Its been 10 days since my last post! The first 7 days were spent working non-stop to get a ton of orders out. The last 3 days were spent in Prosper, TX to be in my good friends TJ and Emily’s wedding. It was such a fun time and she looked absolutely AMAZING! I just had to show you all!
